With over 20 years of leadership experience across retail, financial services, energy, mental health and healthcare, higher education, and nonprofit sectors, Erica brings a well-rounded, real-world perspective to her work.

Her approach is grounded in providing practical, actionable takeaways, not just concepts. Participants leave sessions with tools they can apply immediately to strengthen communication, set clearer expectations, and lead with greater confidence and intention.

Erica Contreras is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of leadership experience across retail, financial services, energy, healthcare, higher education, and nonprofit sectors. She is known for building people-first organizations by aligning leadership, learning, and talent strategies with business and mission outcomes.

Throughout her career, Erica has partnered closely with CEOs and executive teams to strengthen leadership pipelines, modernize learning ecosystems, and lead enterprise-wide initiatives spanning leadership development, succession planning, engagement, onboarding, and change management. Her work sits at the intersection of strategy and execution—translating complex goals into practical, measurable results.

Erica brings a grounded and authentic approach to her work, with a strong focus on developing leaders at all levels and creating cultures where people feel supported, accountable, and able to perform at their best. She is especially passionate about designing learning experiences that are not only engaging, but actionable—so leaders walk away with tools they can apply immediately.

She holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of St. Thomas, a Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Strategic Planning from the University of Houston–Downtown, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston. She remains deeply committed to lifelong learning, coaching, and helping individuals and organizations reach their full potential.

In addition to her executive leadership experience, Erica is the Owner and Founder of Lifelong Learning Lens, where she advises organizations on leadership strategy, culture alignment, and sustainable performance. Based in Houston, Texas, she delivers both in-person and virtual experiences to clients across industries.

Outside of her work, Erica enjoys traveling, spending time with her mini goldendoodle Dulce, and cheering on the Houston Astros.
